Sigma Consulting will partecipate Italy/ Minas Gerais Business Forum.
The Italy/ Minas Gerais Business Forum will take place on May 11th, 2021, under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. This digital event is organized by the Italian Trade Agency in cooperation with the Italian Consulate in Belo Horizonte, the Italy/ Brazil Chamber of Commerce in Minas Gerais, Confindustria and FIEMG.
Remote B2B meetings between Italian and Brazilian companies from Minas Gerais will take place on the ITA digital platform Fiera Smart 365 on May 12th and 13th.
PLENARY SESSION, FOCUS PANELS AND B2B MEETINGS
The Brazilian State of Minas Gerais has a strong industrial vocation. It also has a high proportion (10,6%) of citizens descended from Italian immigrants, which reflects on local culture. The economy of Minas Gerais is geared towards automotive sector, steel industry and agroindustry. as well as mineral extraction. The State is also one of Brazil’s largest sources of agricultural produce, as well as coffee and dairy products.
The vent will focus on three primary economic sectors. They will be presented in as many dedicated focus panels, which will follow the plenary session:
- Agribusiness, import in Brazil of Italian food products and food processing technologies in the dairy, drinks, ice cream, meat, coffee and processed food market segments;
- Manufacturing, automation and industry 4.0, with specific attention to automotive components, semi-finished iron and steel products; mineral extraction and mining industry, including ornamental stones and ceramics; and pharmaceutical technologies.
- Sustainable energy, urban electricity solutions and “Smart City” technology.
All interested Italian or Brazilian companies can take part in the plenary session and the focus panels. Only Italian companies or companies originating from Minas Gerais will be allowed to participate in the B2B meetings.
